-Wireless Heart Implant

Pressure patrol: A new wireless sensor the size of a paper clip measures fluid pressure in the pulmonary artery. The metal loops on either end anchor the sensor to the artery walls, while the self-contained transducer in the middle takes pressure readings. The sensor is activated by radio frequency, transmitting data wirelessly to physicians via modem.
